Quick fire treble for Quinn
Jimmy Quinn (grad. 1983) was the star performer at Wolverhampton on 14th January, completing a 314-1 treble in some style. The in-form jockey took the evening’s riding honours commencing with Chosen Forever for trainer Geoff Oldroyd, who defied a 7lb rise in the weights to take the 1m1f handicap. He then deputised for the unwell Robert Winston on Tourist in the 6f handicap and got the 14-1 shot up close home to score for trainer Derek Shaw. Quinn was then seen at his strongest when he rode the Alan Brown-trained Head To Head to a nose victory over Admiral Bond in the 5f handicap and this quickfire treble has jumped him up the leader board in the All Weather Jockeys Championship.
