Hillis ahead in Germany

John Hillis (grad. 1981), having only taken out a full trainer’s licence last year, continues to achieve success on the track in Germany with his latest victory coming at Munich on October 18^th.

Surabaja, ridden by Katherine Irmer and owned by Bayern Munich captain Philip Lahm, captured the featured handicap race in impressive style and registered a tenth winner for John at the Bavarian track this season.

John’s training operation is based in Munich, where there is only one remaining race day this year from a total of 15, and he is in second place in the trainers standings. He is also well-known as a commentator on German racing for the French racing channel Equidia.
